Sourdough Discard Crackers – Sesame and Thyme

Sourdough Discard Crackers – Sesame and Thyme

These crackers are exceptionally easy to make and take no time at all. You can sub out the spices for any spices you like or simply leave them plain. Any way you make them will be delicious.

Ingredients:
200g sourdough starter / discard

100g plain flour

50g melted butter, cooled

1 tsp sea salt + more to sprinkle on top

3 tsp seseme seeds

1.5 tsp dried thyme

Steps:
Add everything to a bowl, mix well then knead until it just comes together.

Split the dough in half.

Roll out each half on baking paper, as thin as possible.

Cover the rolled dough in another layer of baking paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

While the dough is chilling pre-heat your oven to 180c

After 30 minutes, cut the rolled out dough into squares or long strips.

Gently poke holes in the crackers with a fork.

Sprinkle with sea salt.

Bake at 180c for 20 – 25 minutes.

Leave to cool then store in an airtight container.

Enjoy,

Amber x
